True Colors The Magic Jukebox Book 2 eBook Judith Arnold

The Magic Jukebox sits in the Faulk Street Tavern in the quiet seaside town of Brogan’s Point, Massachusetts. No one knows what classic rock songs will come out of the jukebox when a coin is inserted, but every now and then, the jukebox will play a song that casts a spell on two bar patrons—a song that will change their lives and open their hearts to love.
When she finds herself homeless after breaking up with her boyfriend, artist Emma Glendon accepts her best friend’s invitation to share a rental house in Brogan’s Point. But their absentee landlord, Max Tarloff, has come to town from his home in San Francisco to sell the house, which will mean evicting his tenants. Max is a high-tech brainiac and a self-made millionaire. Emma is a painter and a free spirit. They have nothing in common—except the jukebox, which plays “True Colors” and forces them to recognize their own true colors, colors that can match and blend magnificently, if the magic of the jukebox has its way.
True Colors The Magic Jukebox Book 2 eBook Judith Arnold
Another great read by Judith Arnold in the Magic Jukebox series. This is book 2 of the series but can be read as a stand alone. This was a sweet read. Cute storyline, great characters, good dialogue and interactions between them and the descriptions to details were done well. Loved Max and watching home move from a world of black and white to a world filled with wonder and color. Emma was a great balance for Max. She completed him. Her quirky character brought Max around (with the help of a lil jukebox magic of course).
Written as multi pov.
All in all another great read.

True Colors The Magic Jukebox Book 2 eBook Judith Arnold Reviews
After reading the first Magic Jukebox book I was looking forward to the others, but this one was predictable from the beginning and easy to put down. I did finish it to understand the background of the characters, but was never "captured" by the plot. I have enjoyed Judith Arnold's books before and will read them again. This one just didn't grab me.
What a delightful novel is Judith Arnold’s True Colors! A bar’s jukebox is very old, and only plays vinyl disks. Also, there’s no listing of available music, nor any way to choose. When a patron inserts a quarter, a song plays. Tradition says that whatever song is played is supposed to touch and enchant a couple there.
This novel is about an unlikely couple, but the enchantment allowed each of them to see what Cyndi Lauper sung about in “True Colors.” Each could see what the other really was about, rather than nuances and disguises.
I recommend this novel
Emma, an artist and her friend rent a house in a picturesque seaside town. Max, a computer software genius and the owner of the house wants to sell the house. He had purchased it for a former fiancee, and since they are no longer together he wants to dispose of the house. Emma and her friend try to convince Max not to sell. When Max and Emma meet, their first impressions of each other are not good. When they meet for a drink at a favorite neighborhood bar, the magic jukebox plays "True Colors" and they feel their opinions of each other altering for the better. They discover the special qualities in each other as they fall in love. This is a fun and good escape read.
I'm usually happy to buy any book with Judith Arnold's name on it, and this one was no exception. Book two in a series, with the centerpiece being a quirky 'magic' jukebox in a small town east coast bar. Drop a quarter in the jukebox and it plays random songs that - every once in a while - cause two people to see each other in a special sort of way.
It's not a to-die-for, stay up all night and read sort of story, but it's well written and entertaining. Opposites attract, with poor but self-reliant and happy artist Emma and wealthy but emotionally burned and wary geek Max finding that they can share the same dream. Made me smile.
I throughly enjoyed this book so much that I didn't want to see it to end. I loved the characters. They seemed so real, and the situations also felt so real, too. Emma was so cute and quirky, but that's how most of the artists that I've met act. I think it was her down to earth attitude, that made me fall for her from the start. I wasn't too sure about Max, though. But I have to admit that after getting to know him a bit more, I really started to like him, too. I think Emma and Max were perfect together. It's like she was the ying to his yang.
Now I just hope her friend Monica gets rid of that Jimmy, and finds someone who treats her like she should be treated, too. I also worry about Gus. She's a real character herself, but down deep inside, I see a real heart of gold in that woman.
Can't wait to read more.
A standalone read with a happy ever after. I have read several of the stories tied to the Magic Jukebox and I have enjoyed them all. Set in a small new England coastline town, the old tavern has a jukebox with a mind of its own. It plays what it wants to play and doesn't charge much for it's songs. The magic hits when a song plays that only two people in the tavern are effected. It is magic and their lives are changed forever.
In this story a young woman artist is living with her friend trying to get her paintings to the point of making her a living. Her friend is renting a beautiful ocean side home at a very low rent from a man in California. Her friend invited her to come and live with her after her ex kicked her out of his apartment when she caught him sleeping with his nude model. She has no money to speak of and she needs a roof over her head so this seemed like the perfect solution to her problems.
But then the landlord from California shows up at their door and gets very angry because the house was leased to a single tenant and not open to have others move in. He is somewhat uptight and not a good view of the world. Monica, his tenant, talks him into meeting the two of them at the tavern in town to see if they can work out a solution. The jukebox does its magic between the landlord and the artist. They do not know who he really is, he has a few secrets. He doesn't know who he is dealing with when he discovers his attraction to the artist.
I thought this was a good story. I really enjoyed it. I love a good romance between two people, they can have a little drama before they get to their HEA, but they do get there and they develop as they reach that goal. I don't need a lot of adventure, violence, bad guys, drugs, etc. I like a good ole fashion love story and this fits that description. I really enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for my review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.
